多くのラーナーさんの悩みがボキャブラリーをなかなか覚えられないということです。
でも単語を単語帳を作って覚えるというのはめちゃくちゃ大変な割に効果は限られています。

■Kitten Shenanigans
Characters: C - Chan; M - Mari

M: Something odd happened last Sunday.
C: What happened?
M: I saw a kitten eating chicken in the kitchen.
C: Oh! Why was a kitten eating chicken in your kitchen?
M: I had no idea!
(Mari and Chan both laugh)
C: So.. What did you do with the kitten eating chicken
in your kitchen?
M: Well, the little guy is adorable so I decided
to adopt him. (Shows the kitten)
C: Aww. That’s very nice of you. He IS adorable.
M: I still don’t know where it came from hahaha. Anyway,
do you see the curtains behind me?
(Mari moves to the side to show the shiny gold curtains)
C: Yeah. What about it?
M: I had to mend it because the kitten scratched it.
C: Aw, that’s too bad.
M: (shows the bottom part of the curtains) So, as you can see,
there are stitches on it now. I’m not really
good at stitching either hahaha.
C: What a shame if such shiny curtains should show such
shabby stitches due to the kitten’s scratching.
M: For the most part, the kitten is all right. He definitely
loves to play around with boxes.
C: I grew up with pet cats so I’m positive that your
new kitten has a lot of shenanigans. Sometimes,
when I was younger, I would wake up and find
my shoes chewed and scratched by the kittens. Hahaha
M: Ohh. I wonder. If this kitten chews shoes, whose shoes
will he choose to chew?
Will it be mine or my husband’s? Hahaha.
C: You’ll have to wait and see, then.
M: But really, the little guy is so cute. Look!
(Shows the little kitten)
C: You can say that again.

縫うことがあまり上手じゃないから。ハハハ！
C: このキラキラのカーテンにはこの子猫のひっかきによりみすぼらしい縫い目が
ついちゃって残念だね。
M: でもだいたいはこの子猫はいい子だよ。箱の周りで遊ぶのが大好きなの。
C: 子猫たちと育っていたからこの君の新しい子猫はいたずらが多いと思うよ。
子供の頃、時々、起きて靴を子猫たちに噛まれたり、ひっか枯れたのを
見つけたことがあったよ。
M: お～、どうかな。この子猫は靴を噛むととしたら、誰の靴を噛むかしら。
私の靴か、夫の靴か。ハハハ
C: 成り行きを見守るしかないね。
M:でも、この子は本当に可愛いの。ほら、見て！（子猫を見せる）
