Characters:     C - Chan;       Y  - Yukiko

A GV and a learner in class talking about life.

Y: I went to a funeral service yesterday.

C: My condolences.

Y: Thank you very much. It was my friend’s father’s funeral.

C: I see.

Y: The daughter gave a really nice speech about her father.

C: How touching. I’m sure he was loved by his family.

Y: You know, sometimes I wonder if people are living life just

C: That’s what we call an existential crisis.

Y: If I just die anyway, if I am just forgotten, what’s the point of

C: I may not have the answer to that, but I’m sure you’ll figure it

    out eventually.

Y: Sigh… I envy those people who know exactly what they want.

They’ve got it all figured out and they seem so happy.
