■The Ball is in Your Court

M- Melissa S- Sai

M: Have you made up your mind about

the scholarship offer from Hokkaido University?

S: Not yet. It’s such a life-changing decision

so I don’t want to be impulsive and rush through it.

M: Understandable.

But they’ve already extended the application deadline,

so the ball is in your court now.

S: True. The responsibility is mine.

Accepting it could open so many doors,

but it also means leaving my comfort zone.

M: That’s the beauty of it.

Sometimes you have to embrace uncertainty to grow.

S: You’re right. I guess it’s time I take ownership of the decision.

M: You just need to weigh the pros and cons

so you can decide which works for you.

S: It seems I will have a long night ahead.
