R:The last time I was in the Philippines, I saw some kind of

 motorcycle with a passenger seat attached to the side.

 Kind of like a tricycle, but it’s motorized.

C:Well, you’re right on the money. Your idea of a tricycle

 might be a bit different, but here in the Philippines,

 those are what we call tricycles.

R:I see. How much is the fare for those?

C:Base fare is 50 pesos so that’s about a hundred yen,

 but it would normally depend on the distance.

R:Very interesting. There were also so many motorcycle riders

 wearing the same clothes and have the same helmet design.

C:Let me guess, the color of the clothes and helmets are blue.

R:Yeah. What are those?

C:They’re motorcycle taxis.

R:Ohhh. Just like in Bangkok and Hong Kong. I remember the ones

 in Bangkok wear orange uniforms and the passengers aren’t

 required to wear helmets. We can just go to a motorcycle taxi

 stand and tell the driver where we’re going.

C:I see. Here in Manila, you need to download an app to book

 a ride on those motorcycle taxis and it’s a must that both

 the driver and passenger wear the proper helmet.
